HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

by SBrown16

I was given the Simply Calm package for my first mothers day and scheduled my appointment for Friday July 3rd. This was a 4+ hour spa package, unfortunately after they gave me my facial I was taken to a room (wearing just their robe) and left for over an hour, they "forgot" about me - I finally went wandering the halls to get to the front desk only to find it deserted, I went back to the room and waited in the hallway until someone came by and asked them for help. Their scheduling was all messed up and they had forgotten about me, I was told they would not be able to finish the rest of my package so I was led back to the locker rooms and changed and went home, the person that helped me told me that there wasn't a manager there because of the holiday weekend. A few hours later Jennifer Clark the manager called and said that she was in fact there that day but was in a room (surprise that no one could find her they lost me too that day). She spoke to me and my boyfriend Max that had purchased the package for me as a gift, she apologized and offered to give a six massages (similar value of my ruined package) to make up for my lost and frustrating day. At the end of the day I was annoyed that it didn't go as planned but appreciated the sentiment to at least salvage a bit of respect for them. Wow was I wrong, Monday morning we received a very angry and aggressive call from Joey Rowland the owner who lives in Arkansas. He yelled at Max, very upset that we expected any kind of comped service and said I had no right to be upset about the way I was treated on Friday. Wow, I don't own any type of service related company but I was astounded that was the response we received from the owner, I can only imagine he was given some type of financial summary of the weekend and was angry that something was being comped. I don't usually complain about things but this company has the "brookside" reputation and was so disappointed with them and their overall attitude and service - I only wish someone had told me what they were really like so we wouldn't have wasted $$$$, a day of my life and all of this negative energy and experience. thanks,Stephanie

Great Manicure and Pedicure

by Geekygrl

My daughter and I decided to treat ourselves to a manicure and pedicure. We didn't want to go to the one of the quickie places and chose Woodhouse Spa. We were greeted immediately upon arriving and taken to a relaxing room to wait for our appointment. (we were early) We were offered tea or any other beverage we wanted) We filled out a brief questionaire while we waited with pertinent questions about allergies or medications. Our manicurists came in and asked if we would like to be in a robe or our own clothes for the mani/pedi. The manicure was excellent even including parafin as was the pedicure. We were treated royally and were very happy with our choice of Woodhouse Spa. We will definitely be back soon to try other treatments as well. I will schedule manicures every other week with my manicurist.

Very relaxing spa services

by bigv74187

I went to Woodhouse Spa for an oxygen facial. I did not have to wait out front watching people pay their bill on the way out. I was taken to a quiet room to wait - which wasn't long. Woodhouse looked good, smelled good, and the spa music was nice. With my facial, I got the most wonderful head/neck/shoulder/arm/hands massage. It was heaven. I have visited serveral Tulsa spas and they do not all include the mini massage with facials. I was disappointed with the facial because it was not the medical grade oxygen facial that I had gotten somewhere else. It was a cream and steam. Despite that, I loved the place and plan to go back for other services like massage and other types of facials. I'll just get the oxygen facial elsewhere. The treatment rooms are spacious and relaxing. The employees are knowledgeable and very good at what they do. They tell you about products but don't put the pressure on to buy them. I can't wait to go back!

  • Pros: Wonderful spa services
  • Cons: Was hard to find
