Avoid them ! They are not willing to help anyone that gets in a financial bind. They have gone as far as taking money out of my fiancee checking account for my debt. They are a bunch of crooks.
I made my payments through auto-deduction via my bank for almost the entirety of my loan. When I was laid off and had to move back to Tulsa, I fell on some hard times financially and requested an extension or temporary reduction in my payment so that I could get back on my feet. Until that point, I had never missed a payment and was an excellent customer. Saber refused to work with me or offer any type of assistance at all, and as a result I got so far behind that I lost my car. I attempted to make payments as I was able, but I just got too far behind and couldn't keep up. They allowed me to drop my car off at Regal, and it's now going to show on my credit report as a voluntary reposession. It's horrible the way they do business, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone based on their inability to be flexible in any way and their complete lack of compassion for the very people that keep them in business. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well, just because I'm fed up with companies in general taking advantage of hardworking customers. HORRIBLE service.
I have had my car for a year and a half and have never missed a payment... My daughter had surgery and I had to obviously miss some work. I called and asked several times if there was any way they could work something out with me to get caught back up, I need my car of course!! I was told I was 23 days late (i am set up on bi-weekly) and that they could not guarantee the security of my car if I am not down there today with full payment and that they will come get my car over the weekend or at my work... They then started calling my mom and asking her to make my payment... This has nothing to do with my mom and ticks me off they are calling her in the first place.
You would think they would treat people with some respect during hard times. I am not saying they should get taken advantage of, but that they should take care of people who are actually working to make the payment and have been dependable customers. I am not asking them to give me the car for free or to let me not make the payment, just that if for some good reason it is late, DO NOT harass me or threaten me to come get it...
As for Regal... They were amazing but they should definitely look into finding another finance company because it is giving them a bad name. I tell everyone don't go there because they will have to deal with Saber Acceptance!!!!
Awesome people!!!! Every time I call to make a payment, who ever answers the phone is super nice!!! I deal with Beth most of the time, and she is awesome!!! I ran into some problems recently, and have been dealing with Sony. He is super sweet!! I know alot of people complain about Regal, and I have my own complaint, but believe me, you couldn't ask for better people than the crew at Saber!!!! Thanks again, Stephanie McGlasson!!!
Saber Acceptance Co SUCKS A$$!!!! – bought a car from Regal Cars had to use there finance company Saber Acceptance.everything was fine for 2 years we even referred 5 friends to buy cars there 4 of them did.then after 2 years my family had a temporary finance trouble for about 3 months called Saber to ask for some help in temporarily lowering our car payments for a few months just until we got things back on track they said NO we don't do that . i asked them why they wouldn't be willing to help out a Loyal customer of 2 years of on time payments.they said it company policy not to change loan agreements.then the woman told me she was going to ask her supervisor if she could help and would call me back. 2 weeks later i had no calls from Saber so i called them back and they said the same thing its against company policy to do it. i told them after in finished deal with there company i would NEVER EVER do any business with them again.. and then today 2 of my friends that bought cars using there service they also have had Major problems with them..i have no complaints about Regal they delivered everything they promised but there finance company SUCKS A$$!!!!
so if you go to buy anything and see Saber Acceptance Co RUN AWAY!!! as Fast as you Can..
Rocky Road – I had a rocky road in the beginning, but do believe that was primarily Regal Car Lots fault. They had set my paperwork up wrong for my payments (bi-weekly instead of bi-monthly). Saber was great to work with me on my payments to ensure that my credit history didn't get flawed. True I did go through a lot of account representatives, all but one were quite helpful. I am very thankful and appreciative of the support and work that the employees at Saber Acceptance Company has given me.
God Bless Saber & CO – I have been a customer with saber acceptance since 03/2009,I have had some unusual experiences with saber and their unprofessional employees, I have dealt with steven and kelly and another lady before. Steven is helpful to a degree. Steven needs a backbone,because it seems the ladies in the office runs the bus barn. They are rude, I agree with all the reviews posted.They are not so reasonable to deal with. yes, there needs to be something done about the way they conduct business. I have less than 1800,00 more to pay on the vehicle. I am experiencing some financial problems, I explained to them, yet they seem to care but business is business with them. It is people like them that give those type of businesses bad names. They are very unprofessional. You now know why they do not have a office open to the public. What type of business is that? These people in that office have no conscious, and GOD don't LIKE UGLY!
I don't know how they sleep at night knowing that they create havoc daily with there customers. Here is something to think about. If Regal motors continue to use saber acceptance as a finance company, they will so be out of business. You sales will deplete quicker than they can ever imagine. Remember, The Lord is in control. They will get there there's. Regal Motors should have something to say about the way customers are treated by there finance company. To Regal Motors " Shame on You All." I am not saying the employees at regal motors are shameful people. I am saying that saber acceptance leaves a bad taste on your business. Change occurs with numbers. painful experience – I have been a customer of Saber for over a year and was laid off from a good paying job and had to take a job making much less. I called Saber several times to request help by applying payment or two the end of the loan or reducing my payment so I could afford them. They would do neither and I asked them to take the car back. They just kept offering deals and I would try to make a payment that I really couldn't afford and got behind on other bills trying to keep them happy. I tried to tell them again I just couldn't afford the payments and couldn't keep the car. They told me to try to work something out or borrow money and to call back to let them know. I finally just cut off communication and they picked up the car. It will look like an involuntary repo now but I tried doing voluntary and they wouldn't do it. They were nice enough on the phone but won't listen or try to help out in a way that is actually helpful in the long run. I'll miss my car but won't miss the headaches.
Worst Company – Well. I went to Regal and got a 97 blazer 3 years ago I had this blazer for 2 months before the fuel pump went out. I called saber and regal. Regal said there was nothing they can do for me.(I bought a 12 month 1200 mile warrenty) So I told saber that I wanted them to co me get the car because I wasn't making payments on that I couldnt afford to fix or let me skip a couple of payments so I could afford to get it fixed. they said no they will not get it and that I could not miss a payment. after a couple of days I called them back and said the same thing and got a "NO" once again. after the third time calling thing and getting the same answer I told the Steven guy that I was going to have to take a baseball bat to the car and make sure it wouldnt sell again after they decided to repo it. they sent someone that day. A coulpe of months later I was getting a house loan and got denied because they listed the repo with the credit bearu as INVOLUNTARY REPO wich wasnt true because I called them and wanted them to come get it and with that I couildnt buy my house I had to go to court to make them relist it as VOLUNTARY. They are just a pain in the ass and if you make them mad theyt will try to make your life hell. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Thanks Thomas Guffey
Horrible company – I got a car from them Oct 2009 and never missed a payment and then in July my dad put a stop check on my payments because my car computer ended up going out 6 months after having it but I still ended up making that payment before the month was over and in November of 2010 I had been with them over a year NEVER MISSING A PAYMENT and I gave birth to my now 2 mth old daughter AND my 70 yr old father went into the hospital and I called everyday trying to work something out and they wouldnt do anything to help me like they were going broke and after being SIX DAYS LATE, thats right SIX, they came and repo'd my car and wouldnt let me get it back unless I gave them $3000 and the car didnt even blue book $1000 because of its major problem! I had been with them over a year never missing a payment and they did this to me, imagine what they will do to everybody else!!!!!!!!! And Sonny is the worst liar they could have, him and that witch Kelly that thinks she can call people while they are in the hospital and be rude as she possible could and talk like shes trash to me!!!
