Sad to have to give this review. After seeing an article in the paper about Eddy's and then reading the reviews online we were shocked that we knew nothing about this 50+ year old restaurant and were excited to try their steak.

We did NOT have a good experience unfortunately!

To start with, the wine glasses and silverware were filthy...so much that you could feel "stuff" all over it.

The waiter was v-e-r-y s-l-o-w and would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time (we do not think he was a long term waiter there like the others we saw)

Then as I wiped the crumbs off of the table cloth, I felt lg pieces of something, lifted the table cloth and there were bread crumbs and food literally all over the table! I was shocked..but sat there patiently waiting for the 4 star steak we had read about!

Even after I ordered our ribeye med, even saying I would rather it come out more rare then well, it came out Med well if not well! Looked beautiful and is HUGE!!

As it turned out, we paid for the wine and all of the Lebanese appetizers and left very unsatisfied and sad.

Also, everything we ate was lacking in flavor as if no spices were used at all.

I closing, I wouldn't go if you don't have plenty of time or if you are not a very patient person!

Best value; excellent food; speakeasy atmosphere. If you lived in Oklahoma before liquor-by-the-drink...You will love Eddy's. They have been doing it the same way since who knows when. The steaks are the best in town, and it is a great value. Excellent beef, perfect preparation. The appetizers -- cabbage roll, taboli, humus and veggies, and salad -- are very good, although the cabbage rolls always need salt. But really, REALLY????? The BEST thing about Eddy's is that you take a step back in time to the 1950s, when you had to be in the know to get a cocktail, there was a word for red meat -- "dinner" -- and the police lined up at the back of the restaurant at closing for leftovers...and there was always extra, if you know what I mean. If you are looking for franchise atmosphere, go to Friday's. But if you want an absolutely superb steak at an incredible value, quiet enough to talk, dark enough to be mysterious, where you will fit in whether you're in jeans or a tux, servers who have been there long enough to remember when they had to know you before they brought out the Manhattan... It's not only a great place to eat. It's an experience. Just go there. You will go back again and again.
