In Short – Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

What to Drink:
If you're not a fan of Foster's, try another Australian beer: Newcastle Brown Ale.

A little pricy, but the steaks are great

Great steaks, the appetisers are good, a little pricy though, still a good selection on the menu, and quick service.

Good food

I love taking my family to Outback! We love the bloomin onion for an appetizer. My husband always orders a steak and my favorite is the b-b-q shrimp on a skewer. We always seem to get a friendly server who delivers good service. The only downside to going to the Outback is there is always a little bit of a wait to get a table. However it is well worth waiting for. It is a fun and casual atmosphere that is also good for children.

  • Pros: good food and service
  • Cons: There seems to always be a wait for a table

Australian steakhouses must stink!

Bad food (I had to send the steak back TWICE to get it cooked long enough, then they just charcoaled it). Tight, crowded spaces (About 4 feet of aisle room. Waiters were spilling things off of trays, running into each other. Forget about getting up and going to the bathroom). Overpriced and under-portioned (If you're looking for not a lot of food at really expensive prices, go here).

  • Pros: waiter was very nice
  • Cons: overpriced, tight/crowded spaces, lousy food

Good

Great place to eat if you are in town to eat a chain restuarants. If your in town from another large city and love steak, you probably have one of these in your town. Eat somewhere that is Tulsa Specific. No offence to Outback, I like it as much as the next guy, but nothing extraordinary, or that you can't get anywhere else in the country.

  • Pros: fun, fast, good

Excellence

by mimi444 at Citysearch

For value, quality and great taste you can't find another restaurant in Tulsa that compares with the Outback Steakhouse. The steaks are incomparable, and each and every side dish is prepared with care - not sitting under heat lamps. We always feel the value is unsurpassed, and no request is treated with anything but respect. Salads are fresh and delicious, and the warm loaf of bread served with appetizers is scrumptious (and generously replenished as many times as requested). Children are made to feel welcome, and the menu caters to them with excellent choices. We have also used their "Curbside" take-out, and it is as good as eating at the restaurant. This is definately a "10" rating.

  • Pros: Quality, Value, Service
  • Cons: NONE
