Great casual seafood in Tulda.
White River is definitely not the place to go if you are looking to pay more for atmosphere than you are for food (think In The Raw). The decor is classic picnic tables, family style seating, but the food more than makes up for what this place lacks in pomp. My recommendation is to show up early if you are going for lunch as this is a favorite lunch spot and it fills up very quickly. Also, bring your cooler with you and take home some fresh seafood from their counter and make something at home for yourself the next night for dinner!

Best seafood around, even beats Atlantic Sea Grill.
Not impressed with the look from the outside, but we were warned about it before we went. The line was long so i knew they must have been doing something right. I absolutely love seafood and have been raised on Corpus Christie's ocean foods but i have to say the oysters I had were perfect! i recommend not only the oysters but the grilled scallops, they were cooked perfectly. I definately recommend this place for any seafood lover.

Best Fried Clams....every.
Everyone who works around sherdian CCC welders etc...talked about White River Fish Market...so, we decided to try it...it's plain and ugly chairs...long tables with old looking tablecloth and the smell...it knocked me over! But, after a few minutes you don't notice. you go up to the counter and order. ( I wanted to leave already) then wait...not long either. I had the fried clams...John had fried scallops, hushpuppies good. even if this isn't mississippi. ice tea. not sweet. but good. keep coming back. when parents come up from MS I will take them here. good fish , good food. pricey but worth it!!

Great!.
The ambiance may be a little lacking, I prefer the term "old school." But make no mistake the seafood is great, and I'm not talking one visit -- it's great each time I have been.
