Great cakes, but....
The cakes Ann's Bakery sells are extremely pricey, but they are delicious.
Other items in the bakery don't seem as special. The cookies don't have that "made from scratch" look OR taste, the cannoli are by no means authentic, and the cinnamon rolls are tough, with hard edges.
I was extremely disappointed with the cannolo I ate. It didn't have any trace of the Ricotta cheese, there wasn't any cinnamon, and the shell was stale. As someone who grew up in New York, I can't believe a bakery would sell such an item without using an authentic recipe.
Since Olive Garden (in Tulsa, anyway) hasn't made cannoli in years, I was very excited when I heard that Ann's had them. But it wasn't at all what you would expect.
If you're going to Ann's- stick with their cakes. Very moist, and very flavorful. They don't have that typical cheap "birthday cake" texture.
