Tips for Argie Lewis Flowers

August 17, 2012

Argie Lewis Flowers has been my florist for years and I've always been satisfied. The staff is great and they always deliver on time. I won't buy flowers anywhere else.

Wonderful Florist. I can rely on Argie Lewis to get me out of trouble with a bouquet of flowers. I love their dog too. She's so sweet.

Worst Place Ever. I ordered a bouquet through 1800flowers for my husband and took great pains to choose a bouquet that wasn't "girlie" looking. Not only was it missing some of the flowers, it was put together extremely poorly and didn't look anything like the picture. Besides for the bouquet being a huge dissapointment they also called my husband first thing in the morning to tell him he was getting flowers late that afternoon. Thanks for ruining the surprise guys! What an absolute waste of money and effort, I could have done better by swinging through Walmart and picking up a bouquet there. At least I would have saved my money and known the flowers I picked out were the ones he would actually get. I sent a complaint to 1800's customer service dept. after seeing the rest of the reviews for this florist, they claim to only use the best florist. HA! I beg to differ, this place is a joke! The only reason I gave one star is because you can't give minus stars, although that's what they deserve.

Poor Business Practices. My husband ordered a flower bouquet for me through 1800flowers and they forwarded my hubands order to this local florist to arrange and deliver. HORRIBLE SERVICE! The bouquet looks NOTHING like the one that was supposed to be delivered to my home. The one I got looks like a Wal-Mart bouquet with very few flowers. Some of the blossoms were already wilty an a lily was turned brown on one side and bent!! There was absolutely NO care put into my order, they look as if they were shoved into the vase. My husband paid $80 for a HUGE and very beautiful bouquet and I am very upset that Argie Lewis would deliver such a dissapointing piece of junk to us for the price we paid! I called Argie Lewis and complained, and was told they would come by and get the bouquet (hopfully to compare it to what I was supposed to recieve) and they never came by. I even stayed at home to wait on them! What wonderful customer service. NEVER EVER will I use, or let a friend use, this florist. JUST AWFUL! And not to mention LAZY! The delivery woman was too lazy to get out of her van and bring my flowers to my door. Her 13 year old son (whom obviously didn't seem too enthused about being her delivery child) had to get out of the van, go to the trunk, and deliver the bouquet to my husband. I have no problem with children, I have a problem with using your children to do your job for you. When I called the florist, they were alomost angry with me because I had mentioned the unprofessionalism they show by having a kid do their delivering. Actually that seemed to be their only concern. Forget that they don't know how to follow a picture of what we ordered? How rude of me to want what we paid $80 for! PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! I am a lucky woman who's husband buys her flowers quite often, these were the WORST that I have EVER recieved! These are still sitting on my antique kitchen hutch waiting for pick-up. I wont even put them in my dining room for display. They are just too embarrassing!

Horrible experience ruined a best friends birthday surprise. I ordered a special arrangement for a best friend of mine and Argie Lewis' employee called me a few HOURS before delivery time to tell me that they didnt have the correct vase for the arrangement. The one the sent was hideous. Half of the flowers looked puny. My friend was greatful to recieve something for her birthday, but when i saw a picture of the arrangement I almost cried! It was half the size of the picture on the website. I will never, ever use this florist again. And i will discourage others to as well.

Oh, and did i mention that they called her place of employment and wanted to make sure there would be someone there to recieve the delivery? I know that is the common practice, but when SHE was the one to answer the phone, they told her that there was a delivery coming, thus...spoiling the SURPRISE!

Horrible Experience! Poor Business Practices!. Argie Lewis filled an order through FTD on Valentines Day. I had ordered a premium bouquet which is priced $20 dollars higher than a regular bouquet($85, flowers + delivery). Not only did Argie Lewis deliver a regular bouquet, the components to this puny bouquet appeared as half the size pictured on FTD and seemed in danger of falling through the mouth of the vase. When confronted, the manager acknowledged that I did not get the bouquet I paid for because (he claimed) FTD did not give him enough money to complete the bouquet at current prices. Let me repeat, ARGIE LEWIS KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY DECIDED NOT TO DELIVER THE BOUQUET FOR WHICH I HAD PAID. Because Argie Lewis felt as thought they had been short changed by FTD they felt as though they could pull a fast one and make up the difference on my end. This seems an extremely poor and dishonest practice for a middleman. Only after being called on this did they try and make it right. However, the extra bouquet hasn't come! Flowers were to be delivered on March 7. It is now March 8th. Argie Lewis through its dishonest penny pinching has managed to frustrate two special occasions.
