Terrible experience all the way around

I had to replace the transmission only 20 days into owning the car I purchased from Mr Clay. He's very good at pretending that he's taking care of you-while raking you over the coals. Yes I did purchase the car as is, and I had a mechanic look at it, but when I called and let Mr Clay know what happened he didn't even call to apologize! Or offer a couple hundred dollars in good will. I now know Mr Clay knew that the tranny was bad and my mechanic said something was probably put in the tranny fluid to "keep it together" for a short amount of time. So- if you plan on purchasing a car, please stay away from 11th st and more importantly Clay's Motor company. Very cheap prices equal, cheap cars and scamming car lot owners. Take if from me and my $2000 transmission lesson, spend a little bit more money and get a car that you won't have to make any major repairs on for a lot longer.
