Great place for lessons

Both my daughters learned a lot from the Flying G. What I loved as a mom were the wide variety and levels of horses...not just a few "school horses" which maybe why someone posted a problem with the horses. There are different level horses for different level riders. Some of those challenging horses taught my daughter how to take control. In large lessons kids were split into 2 groups for safety reasons. You also get a lot of bang for your buck..many other places charge more $ for less riding time. There were actually times lessons went long to ensure everyone got plenty of riding time...ONLY downfall was that the indoor arena is small and used in bad weather...(Outdoor arena is awesome!) wish it had a full size indoor arena...

Flying G ranch is one of the best places I have ever been to! I took lessons there for about 4 years! My instructor was awsome and she would always have something up her sleeve for a fun filled day! She always kept an eye on ya and made sure you were on the right horse for you. whether it was a slow easy horse such as honey or an average horse for fun lessons like monarch.I can't think of any other place in the world that I would want to take riding lessons at!
Flying G, Finally, a dream come true!

I am what you would call an overly protective mother, When my daughter wanted riding lesson, I shook in my boots. But I allowed her to start private lessons at the Flying G ranch. She soon moved into the group lessons. The instructor was Wonderful, she treated the children like the individuals they are. My daughter not only learned how to care for her horse, and ride, she learned self confidence and pride in what she did. I have had equestrian lessons in Washington, and my daughters have tried them here in Michigan. There is nothing, without a doubt, to compare to The Flying G. If you are worried about trainer to student ratio, then pay the extra for private lessons. My girls always talk about the Flying G and we always schedule rides when we come back to town to visit friends. If you want to learn to ride, there is no better place to learn!

I believe that the Flying G Ranch is a good place to learn how to ride. I learned to ride there and now I am a national top ten rider. You can learn both western and english there and the important thing is you learn it the right way. Trust me if you stick with lessons you will learn a lot.
- Pros: wonderful place to learn how to ride
- Cons: none
