Very authentic and down to earth simple. My wife and I ate there this evening for our first time and found it to be a bit different than most restaurants. At first, we thought it was a bit slow and less than responsive but then we realized it was the charm of the place. The waiter was so very laid back and friendly... it was like having supper at a personal friend's house. The food is very authentic Mexican... not tex mex style where your place is filled with heaping piles of cheese, sour cream, lettuce, onions, etc. The food looks so plain and simple BUT the taste was absolutely incredible! The restaurant is clean and simple yet it provides a meal that you can't find at other local Mexican food establishments.

If you go there (and you should), leave your inhibitions at home and go with a frame of mind that you're having supper at a friend's house. The meal is spectactular and you'll probably get hooked.... we sure did!

Worst "customer service" EVER!. My husband, 6 year old daughter, 7 year old son and I went into Juanita's for the first time tonight. We happened to walk in at the same time as two other gentlemen and because there was nobody at the front to seat us we made small talk with the men while we waited. Nobody came out so we sat at a table by the door at which time a heavy set man with dark hair came out of the back and shouted across the restaurant "didn't you read the sign on the door". They have a sign on the door that says for parties of more than 5 you have to call a day in advance. Before we could even explain that we were not together and separate parties he loudly announced "you need to leave" and went back into the kitchen. He never approached us, he yelled everything from the kitchen doorway which made everyone in the restaurant stop what they doing and watch, he did not let us talk to him and he never apologized. He did not treat us like customers let alone like human beings. I will never pay a dime to Juanita's and I suggest you do the same.
