The Artwork is sickening to eat a meal nearby. when you first walk in you see a catholic priest and a orphan boy in the center part of the restaraunt. then the back wall shows how cops were protecting the elite from the muggleworts or common man in the center which looks like a rome cathedral. then you notice a middleclass family inside the circle. you wonder how'd they get to the inner sanctum, but then you notice the art shows them holding their young child up for offering to the elite for catholic child rape. so you wonder what is going on in the center, what are the cops keeping people away from, and you remember the center of the restaraunt clearly displaying a catholic priest getting a grip on a young boy. this kind of artwork belongs near the public building not in a restaraunt. if anyone could enjoy eating next to this sick truth displayed in abuelos artwork must be possesed to tolerate it.

Best chips and salas ever! Otherwise, just your average tex-mex. Abuelo's is a big, chain restaurant. You get huge portions, friendly service and a nice, if corporate, atmosphere. You also get rather bland, average Tex-Mex food. The food won't offend anyone, but it probably won't knock your socks off either.

However, I have to say that the chips and salsa are truly amazing. I have NEVER had chips and salsa this good.

I'll be back to Abuelo's, but I'll sit at the bar and have a cold beer and chips and salsa, and then I'll go somewhere else for dinner-- like the fabulous El Rio Verde!

Great food, Great people. I eat there monthly always a pleasant experience, and good wait staff, I would reccomend to anyone, in the mood for Mexican eat here.

Patrons of this upscale Tex-Mex chain choose from a wide variety of dishes made with fresh ingredients.. In Short
The decor is the star attraction with colonial-style architecture, vibrant murals of Mexican life, and stone statuary resembling a wealthy landowner's rural hacienda. Entrees include Tex-Mex staples--enchiladas and fajita tacos--with a few surprises such as bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin and grilled mahi mahi. Sweets include the creamy caramel-flavored dulce de leche cheesecake and the rich chocolate flan drizzled with Kahlua cream sauce.

favorite mexican restaurant. What wonderful food! The portions are huge!! They offer so many varities and choices, not all being mexican,such as seared ahi tuna, salads and much, much more! The staff is quick, attentive and helpful. My water glass was promptly filled after only a few sips. There is none of that "I'm not your server so I can't help you" at this restaurant like you encounter at so many other places. Very moderatly priced and a very comfortable atmosphere.

You gotta try this place!!!. I took my friends from out of town out last night and we stopped by Abuelo's. It was my first of what is soon to be many visits. Everything was perfect from the moment we hit the door. Perfect greeting, perfect food, and perfect service. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and out, huge statue's great art. You wont belive the price from 6.99 to 18.95! And we found the best margaritas in town. Thanks for creating a great concept.
