Best Steaks and best value for lunch. I Just wanted to let everyone konw that The Avalon Steak House has the best steaks in Tulsa. I have dined there in the evening as well as lunch. The steaks were fabulous, and the server I had was wonderful. If you want a great steak go to the Avalon. If you are on a budget their lunch menu is a great value for the menu they offer. I have had wonderful experiences there and would reccomend it to all!

Great Steaks!!. Who is this Stingray74? The review is just craziness!!!! Customers cannot refill their own drinks! I have been their a ton of times and if a customer refilled his own drink, he would be ran over by the waitstaff in their little area!! I have never had a bad experience while dining at the Avalon. The waitstaff is always willing to provide me with refills or extra butter, sour cream or dinner rolls. Stingray74's review is below and I think it is nuts!! I'll be to eat at the Avalon and recommend it to others!! Thank you - Holly Johnson :)

Worst Service, Worst Attitude, Cold Food!. We experienced our worst dining experience at Avalon in the 18 years we have been married. The worst service, rude management and staff, burnt and cold steaks, cold baked potato, we had to get our own drink refills, rolls, butter, sour cream, etc... Our meals also came out 1 at a time. It would be a Good place to open a restaurant. We won't be going back anytime soon!

Too Pricey and Upscale for me..... I totally agree with barrabajaggle on thier opinion of how the quality of the resturant has changed.. I've been to the old location and loved everything about it.. Now when I went back to the new location and it done a complete turnaround.. nothing is the same anymore... I was even shocked about how the prices had skyrocked.. of course.. they've got to pay for the newer upscale place.. not my style anyways.

Great Food & Service. My fiancee and I went to Avalon Steakhouse over Labor Day weekend and we were very impressed with the food quality and service. This was my first time there and an old favorite for my fiancee. The steaks were excellent as were the bread and side items. The Long Island iced tea was out of this world and was a big part of why we chose Avalon for dinner. It's amazingly smooth and a must, even at $9. Our server, Jorge, did a fantastic job of taking care of us and made us feel welcome to enjoy our time. Overall, an excellent experience and one I would highly recommend. We live 450 miles from Tulsa but will include this as a tradition for each visit.

Don't buy a gift certificate!. Do not buy a gift certificate from here! My parents got one for their 50th anniversary, and only were sent a card in the mail. It said they were to pick up the gift certificate there. The mgr was too busy to speak to them, but sent the waiter to say if they really had a gift certificate, she would have a copy, and she didn't have ANY gift certificates that were to be picked up. They paid for their meal, went home, left a msg, and the mgr called them and very nicely explained no gift certificate was there for them. My mother called the person who had purchased it, who called the steakhouse, and was told by the mgr that she had found the certificate right after she told my mother for the SECOND time no gift certificate existed. Also that she had lost my mother's phone number, so didn't know who to contact about it, so my mother should call back AGAIN. My mother tried TWICE, and was told both times the mgr was too busy to talk to her. My father refuses to ever go back anyway, but I can't believe the mgr of the steakhouse wasn't willing to go the extra mile and call my parents. or just mail them an ACTUAL gift certificate and letter of apology!

Mourn the demise of the Avalon Supper Club. R.I.P. The Avalon used to be an icon for fine beef. The last time I was there....and it will be the last time, was after they opened the new facility. The filet that I always had before, and used to be the finest beef I have ever had.......was inedible. There is no other way to describe it. It tasted like it was soaked in gasoline and then dropped into the coals to incinerate. And I ordered it medium rare. After two bites......one from the edge and one from the center, we both sent the meal back and left. In addition to the awful taste, the meat was full of gristle. It seems to me that the Avalon is sacrificing quality in order to pay for their new building, and shamefully disgracing the once fine name of the Avalon Supper Club. I mourn the passing of a once fine dining establishment.

First time impression. I have heard advertizements about Avalon Steakhouse for years and finally got to try it first hand. Wow! the adds were correct. The only down side is the location but that is very minor. The food, service, and atmosphere were all teriffic.

your special. If you want to feel like your the only one that they are waiting on this is the place. Avalon is known for there sevice with a smile and a personal touch. I've been going there for years and have never been dissatisfied with sevice or there great food.

Yummy.... This steakhouse is very awesome! If you want a great steak, head on over to Avalon. It's one of the best steaks I've had in Tulsa. Avalon has a "hole-in-the-wall" atmosphere but it's very unique. I will definitely be going back there in the near future. Writing this review is making me crave one of their thick, juicy steaks so I need to stop writing.
